I have been awed by Kasia's work ever since I first saw it-- it is full of magic and nature and all of the things I want my work to aspire to. I have always liked mixing old and new technologies so for this project I thought it best to stretch out the history of photography to its extremes -- mixing the wet plate collodion photographic process from the 1850s with digital projection mapping technology of today, with a couple of in between technologies thrown in for good measure. I want the audience to feel the strange magic beauty of the world outside of our constructed one. I have been making all sorts of pictures with all sorts of cameras for a long time. I make music videos and photographs for bands and video art and photographic art at my studio in McGuffey Art Center.
