Jaewar & Vibe Riot
Vibe Riot is an East Coast indie band with heavy drum and bass, Afro-Cuban percussion, jazzy guitar, bebop piano, wailing sax, and powerful vocals! Jaewar, founder and front man, has put together an extraordinary group of musicians. The result is a blend of funk rock, soul, reggae, and hip hop that unites diverse audiences in a love of music. Yolonda Jones Creative.
Yolonda Jones of Mother Jones Music has an “alternative soulful delivery (often compared to Lauryn Hill and Nina Simone).” Listeners will be captivated by her talents, showcasing her gospel roots along with a jazz and folk influence. Sista Nickey McMullen
Sista Nickey McMullen combines a visual performance style with her powerful voice to “infuse love, inspire, uplift, comfort, admonish, and instruct.” The Richmond native uses her talents, along with inspirational messages, to invite audiences to enter her world while reflecting upon their own. V. Rachelle & Crew includes Valencia Harvey and her bandmates, Varina Taylor, Nadia Manifold Anderson, and Gladimir Paul as they vibe to R&B unplugged!

7th Grade Girl Fight
7th Grade Girl Fight is a Garage Pop/Indie Rock/Post-Punk side project of singer-songwriter Debra Guy. With musical influences like Jimmy Eat World, Mae, Death Cab for Cutie, and Yellowcard, their sound is a new and exciting spin on all the things you know and love about punk rock! Liberation Arts
Liberation Arts is owned and managed by artist Macaco Nova York. He sources Afro-Brazilian Folkloric customs, academic debate, and his own experiences in the arts growing up in Queens New York City. Vibe Fest was established in 2018 by Jaewar & Vibe Riot and is administered by Alter Nativ LLC and WPVC Radio in partnership with IX Art Park and Sponsors. Vibe Fest supports the community and charitable programs in the Charlottesville, VA area. The festival reached over 34K local fans its first year. The festival’s positive message and dance-able sound makes it a perfect fit to serve the Charlottesville community’s call to action.

Vibe Fest reaches for unity in diversity. The two-part music festival series, taking place on March 2nd and returning in the summer, will cross cultures and musical genres. Founder Jae King’s signature is a shared stage, bringing together artists of all ages and career stages to perform, exchange ideas, and mentor one another.
