River Hawkins

River Hawkins has been an artist since a very young age. Honing his craft over the years in multi medium expressions River has had many professional shows on the West coast in Oregon, but currently does most of his work for his restaurants The Bebedero and Mejicali in Charlottesville, VA. A barman and restaurateur by trade because it allows him the opportunities to be creative in both crafting fine cocktails as well as designing the aesthetics of his establishments.

River is a jack of all trades when it comes to art. He loves creating pieces in any medium he can get his hands on, often switching between mediums, genres, as well as techniques and enjoys working on larger mural pieces for local businesses. You can find his work spread all over Charlottesville at businesses like the aforementioned as well as Rockfish Brewery, The Whiskey Jar, Revolution Soup, Vitae Spirits and Hogwaller Brewing.

An overall theme to his work is what he describes as the "Grace in the Chaos". He likes to celebrate the beauty in what most would describe as horror.
